后唐同光元年十月，李存勖自杨刘渡黄河，至郓州，遣李嗣源为先锋，连破梁兵，擒王彦章，继而采纳郭崇韬等人的建议，命李嗣源前军日夜兼程向大梁，八日后抵大梁城下。梁主朱友贞命亲军将领杀死自己。李嗣源、李存勖不战而入大梁。唐（晋）与梁相持十七年后，八日亡梁。壮哉！
